A great line-up of speakers representing well-known brands supporting the UK’s small business sector in its adoption of digital technology. Each speaker will present the role they are playing in promoting greater adoption of digital services by SMEs, ranging from the latest research on SME’s adoption of technology, through to market-leaders who are supporting the sector to transform.
CEO of Nominet
Russell joined Nominet as CEO in January 2015. He leads the organisation as it develops its core registry business, explores the potential of new technologies in the global internet sector, and delivers on its commitment to ensuring the internet is a force for good.
He has extensive experience in the digital information, content and software services sectors and has held senior roles across four continents, covering both established and emerging markets. Russell holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and is a charter member of the Institute of Marketing. He is a member of the Nominations Committee.
Public Policy Manager at Google
Katie is the Public Policy Manager at Google, bringing over a decade of experience to Google’s efforts to create government, business and third sector partnerships that make a difference. At Google, Katie manages UK skills and education policy, and is responsible for the Digital Garage and an ongoing partnership with Teach First.
Prior to this Katie lead the campaigns, PR and Policy teams at Mumsnet, and worked in politics, both for Tony Blair and David Miliband.
Head of SME Strategy at Samsung European Headquarters
In January 2016 Vincent Slevin was appointed to head Samsung’s mobile strategy for small businesses in Europe.
Vincent brings 16 years of experience in international business strategy, with over 9 years in Technology industry with both startups and large enterprises.
Vincent began his career in the City of London in Media at Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc. He earned an MA from The University of Glasgow and an MBA with concentrations in both corporate finance and data driven marketing from IESE University of Navarra. Vincent is also fluent in Spanish.
VP for Business Development, SME at Mastercard UK&I
Edoardo is currently the Vice President for Business Development, SME at Mastercard UK&I.
In this role he works with all major Commercial Card Issuers in the UK and Ireland to support the development of their SME card base.
Edoardo is a tenured Commercial Card professional with over 12 years’ experience in the industry, across the UK, Europe and globally. Before joining Mastercard, Edoardo has worked for American Express since 2004, where he held a variety of roles within their Corporate Payment Services division across account management, business development and product management. In these roles, Edoardo developed an in-depth understanding of the Commercial Card industry working with all types of companies, from Sole Traders to large multinational organisations.
Edoardo holds a double degree in Business Studies from the University of Brighton (UK) and the Politecnico of Turin (Italy) and he speaks fluently Italian, English and French.
