Collaborative partnerships help generate ideas which create the spark for innovation. This session will showcase the work of four organisations including: providers of the tech and digital tools allowing small businesses to take advantage of the latest innovation in the digital payments; a programme that helps and incubates SMEs; the latest ideas for using the Cloud to make digital transformation affordable; and an exploration of the opportunities for the SMEs to export their innovative expertise post-Brexit.

Each speaker will share two actions which they would like Margot James, Small Business Minister, to consider when developing Government policy supporting and enabling the small business sector in digital adoption. Following a round of table discussions audience will be invited to vote for their preferred action by taking an online poll. The winning idea will be shared with BEIS and Minister Margot James.
3.00pm Big Idea Pitch 2 - Catherine Knivett from the London LEP and Emma Cheshire, Strategic Advisor – Tech and Innovation at Manchester Growth Company
Both will pitch ideas they think are worth considering to ensure greater adoption of digital within the SME sector. Following another round of table discussions, using their phones, the audience will take part in creating instant word cloud identifying their favourite ideas.
